"My area of expertise I recommend the following authors: Jane Austen - basically romcoms in period book form Charles Dickens - the soap operas of the time Bronte sisters - I especially like wuthering heights - the ultimate bad boy F Scott Fitzgerald George Orwell (though the similarities to modern politics might concern you) Modern authors Marian Keyes - laugh out loud funny especially the Walsh family series Tess geritsen as previously mentioned - excellent crime fiction Sue grafton - her alphabet books set during the 80's with a tongue in cheek nod to hard boiled detective fiction with a feminist edge, also funny and loveable characters. You also can't beat Agatha Christie for easy to read but well written crime fiction and mysteries. " A lady who seems to share my own library!! Love Marian Keyes, some beautiful poignant writing but some hilarious laugh out loud stuff too

"I'm a big fan of Dan Brown. Love the delicate weave of truth throughout his fiction. The symbology and history of the bible and the artworks he depicts in his story telling also captivates me. My favourite so far is inferno, closely followed by the lost symbol. " I didn't read any of his for some reason, i got them all on audio book and loved them!

"I'm into non fiction at the moment. I go through stages. Current book is X and Why. The rules of attraction: why gender still matters. Last fiction book was The Handmaids Tale." I've added The Handmaids Tale to my basket!
