Do you look for the solution to your vexation, or simply rant and never think of changing things?

Being solution driven - I argue to resolve rather than to win

Brighton - even Hove!

I shout a lot, blame everyone else then make a cup of tea, drink that sulking then come back, apologise and find a solution. Only at home. At work I problem solve calmly.

Ranting for me is a stress release. Little things build up and get me agitated until it all suddenly comes out at some poor unsuspecting friend or work colleague. Or at nobody in particular... I'll sometimes just stomp around cursing at the world in general After that, I can then be calm and think about solutions etc.

I'm very lucky, I have some lovely friends and colleagues who understand and tolerate this. A lot of them think it's funny and just let me get on with it. And I'm at an age where I've learned to tolerate my own foibles too.

A deep breathe in - exhale - and then tackle the issues behind the rant

I just gave a rant the 5 mins to myself. Then all's good

I do it here too. Successive daft messages irritate me until some poor guy sends the last straw and receives a hundred-word rant in reply

I don't really rant. I tend to internalise and just think things through.

Think it annoys people more as they think I'm not affected by things.

I rant at work because we're in the same boat and can all sympathise. It helps to share the horror of our captors.
