I’ve not been well lately so, have spent a lot of time either sitting down or lying down. Resulting in me having a numb bum, no matter how I sit in uncomfortable. Any ideas on how to solve it or ease it, unfortunately not sitting on it isn’t possible. X

Brighton - even Hove!

Having numbness in your bum could be seen as a sign of a spinal fracture!

Seriously he's right it could be the sign of injury to your spine in some way. Is the numbness constant and where is it? Does it extend to your genital area at all?

I do have spinal problems but it’s only been since this bout of illness and I’ve spent a lot of time sitting down. No it’s just the bottom of my cheeks and it’s not too bad when I stand, I just can’t stand all the time x

Nevertheless I would ask a medical professional for advice. Numbness that doesn't go away completely shouldn't be ignored. I know that to from experience.

Get well soon.

I will ask next time I’m with my surgical team. I’m having a ct scan soon so if it’s anything it should be picked up on that x

Have you tried one of those inflatable ring thingies? I have been in a similar position and someone lent me one, I must admit it didn’t work 100% for me but it was a help. Just a thought.
