Not in the slightest.

Why are so many gay and bi guys so convinced that all men feel the same way. There is a certain irony in a section of society who celebrate "diversity" suggesting that all men are the same.

I wouldn't say It has been a fantasy, but I have often envied my gay pals hedonistic promiscuity.

The other night Her and I were discussing where the line is between straight and Bi. Followed were a list of "would you" questions fired my way by Her.

Do you need to be attracted to both sex to be Bi? Can sex can be primitive, and just about the climax. It's common knowledge the Romans didn't let a small thing like gender get in the way of an orgasm.

People have different comfort levels with regards to discussing certain subjects, that's fair enough. But enjoying things up your arse is not what defines sexuality.

I can only answer that from a personal perspective - I'm not attracted to guys in the same way as I am women, but there is some kind of attraction there with guys I have played with and I couldn't just play with any guy, but the attraction IS more primal than physical, and is more about the sex - which makes it sound incredibly shallow, when it's not at all.

That's fair enough, I see where you're coming from, I don't think it's shallow, sex doesn't have to be a depth of attraction and emotion.

Damn you've found me out - yes of course that's why I am happily and openly bisexual (Not gay though, so does that count me out of your theory?) - it has nothing at all to do with the fact that I am open minded and enjoy exploring my sexuality as I first thought, and everything to do with being desperate!!

Nope . Although i watched a programme once when living in france it was on peoples sex s lives and it said if you put 30 men age 18/40 healthy virile men on a island with no women for 24 months over half would engage in some form sexual activity with another male generally oral or mutual masturbation .

No your "point" was to insult as many people as possible in the space of one post - I'm not bisexual because I'm desperate, or because there's no other choice, but because I'm open minded and liberated and just so happen to enjoy indulging in sexual activity with people of my own gender as well as those of the opposite one

No your "point" was to insult as many people as possible in the space of one post - I'm not bisexual because I'm desperate, or because there's no other choice, but because I'm open minded and liberated and just so happen to enjoy indulging in sexual activity with people of my own gender as well as those of the opposite one "

I haven't read the thread, but surely every man has at some stage considered sexual contact with another man? If you haven't, then how on earth would you have come to the decision to be straight/gay/bi/fluctuating etc?

Of course every man alive has considered sexual relations with another man.

Certainly not a homophobe. Juvenile? Hardly. I just have a playful outlook on life. That line “drop anchor in poo bay” comes from Jim Royle of Royle family fame. It seems it’s okay to transmit such a throw away comment on national television during prime time but so much on a public form on a site that promotes sexual openness. So I’ll retract the comment and replace it with “no I haven’t”. Now that’s vastly more engaging.

I’ve a friend in the prison service here in Ireland. It’s so wide spread they even have a term for it “prison lovin”. The odd thing is some ethnic groups seem to take to it faster than others. I didn’t say Jim Royal is juvenile. I said such a comment is excepted on national TV but on a site like fab it’s considered homophobic. Why would a euphemism for consensual sex between two members of the same sex be considered homophonic? Where exactly in my original post did I point out my disgust at such a thing? Nowhere. I said I don’t fantasize about it. That doesn’t mean I’m against it.

This is exactly the type of thing Cal (from CalandNita) is talking about - the belief many (most?) homosexual and bisexual men have that all men are like themselves.

Sexual orientation is not about "deciding" to be "straight/gay/bi/fluctuating etc?". It is about which sex/sexes one is attracted to. I have never been sexually attracted to any man, so why would I try any homosexual activity?

If what ive said isnt bi.then how would you describe it.

By its very nature being in a group of men and women you must be comfortable around other naked men

Way to make a sweeping generalisation that man!! For the record I've never believed such a thing and know for a fact that all the bi/gay men I know don't either!!

The point that was being made was, the albeit rather obvious one, that all men must have considered it to a greater or lesser degree to decide it's not for them - by posting on this thread and stating you're not in the slightest bit sexually interested in other men, you are in fact demonstrating you have done so plain and simple

The fact you have chosen not to be interested is neither here nor there (although it is of course perfectly acceptable just as me choosing the opposite is) but you HAVE considered it to make that choice

No-one has suggested the phrase is homophobic at all - stating it is puerile or juvenile is NOT stating anything of the sort. It IS puerile and juvenile statement though, and from that there is no denying, no matter how you dress it up and is also one which I actually find quite funny and can grin about even though I'll welcome an anchor being dropped there on occasion

" Not quite a homophobe but certainly quite juvenile/puerile."

You said it wasn't juvenile ("Hardly").. your defence... Jim Royale said it... you must see the funny side in that? I'm not having anyone can defend that as not a juvenile thing you say.. I'M SAYING JIM IS JUVENILE!

No.....I used the Jim Royal offering to suggest it’s okay to use such a term in public. I will ask again. What’s wrong with the euphemism I used? How is it homophonic? Let’s try it a different way. Am I in the mood for a peddle and crank? No, not right now. Am I now discriminating people who mastrabate?

No-one has suggested the phrase is homophobic at all - stating it is puerile or juvenile is NOT stating anything of the sort. It IS puerile and juvenile statement though, and from that there is no denying, no matter how you dress it up and is also one which I actually find quite funny and can grin about even though I'll welcome an anchor being dropped there on occasion "

Maybe a wee bit juvenile. I’ll admit that. It is also refreshing to interact with someone who, to a certain extent, shares my sense of humour.

"Never ever have I fantasisised about dropping anchor in poo bay.

You'll be castigated as a homophobe

Not quite a homophobe but certainly quite juvenile/puerile.

I think you're going to struggle as too argue "dropping anchor in poo bay" as mature... I'm not sure your reference to the Royale Family supports it not being juvenile. "It's not juvenile Jim Royle said it!" ??

I didn’t say Jim Royal is juvenile. I said such a comment is excepted on national TV but on a site like fab it’s considered homophobic. Why would a euphemism for consensual sex between two members of the same sex be considered homophonic? Where exactly in my original post did I point out my disgust at such a thing? Nowhere. I said I don’t fantasize about it. That doesn’t mean I’m against it.

"I haven't read the thread, but surely every man has at some stage considered sexual contact with another man? If you haven't, then how on earth would you have come to the decision to be straight/gay/bi/fluctuating etc?

Of course every man alive has considered sexual relations with another man.

This is exactly the type of thing Cal (from CalandNita) is talking about - the belief many (most?) homosexual and bisexual men have that all men are like themselves.

The fact you have chosen not to be interested is neither here nor there (although it is of course perfectly acceptable just as me choosing the opposite is) but you HAVE considered it to make that choice "

I have not chosen my sexuality - it is impossible for anyone to choose their sexual orientation. If somebody is straight, why would they "consider" indulging in homosexual activity - it makes absolutely no sense. If somebody is bisexual, they can (arguably) choose which gender to actually have sex with. I am on this thread because, like many other straight men, I find it irritating that so many homosexual/bisexual men think that all men fancy them. And it is FAR worse at dogging sites where a lot of men don't take "no" for an answer. My conversations with other doggers confirm that I am not alone in being annoyed by this.

With my ex I often fantasised about a guy joining us - I'd picture a guy dropping his cock into my mouth as she rode me. Us both sucking him off together. The fantasy always made me harder, and cum harder when the sex sometimes got a bit repetitive.

My status is currently bi (more curious) as I'm thinking about exploring that side. Who knows. Each to their own and do whatever you think will turn you on and make you smile.

I guess the difference comes down to the definition of "consider" which is why I said to a greater or lesser degree, I perhaps should have also said it doesn't have to be a conscious consideration either - by dint of the fact that you consider yourself to be straight, you have by default considered yourself not to be bisexual or gay (either consciously or sub-conciously).

As for "so many" homosexual or bisexual men thinking that all men fancy them - not my experience at all, in fact I can categorically state I don't fancy you or the majority of men on this site in the slightest, just the same as I don't fancy the majority of women - and know that goes for pretty much all other bi and gay men I know. In fact I'd go as far as to say it irritates me that there are people around that think I would be that shallow.

I can't speak from experience of dogging sites but would imagine part of the problem there is you're in a situation where it's impossible to know someones sexuality and it's inevitable that messages may become mixed or people will unfortunately overstep boundaries (possibly inadvertantly) - and I'm not saying that to excuse anything at all as where it's made clear there's no interest boundaries should not be pushed in any circumstance, but do wonder if the nature of dogging can lead to misunderstanding.

Why would you think that? I haven't fantasized about gay sex between men in 58 years, and don't think I am in a minority.

It's simply my opinion formed from life experience, chatting and meeting lots of different people and using my noddle. Don't forget there is straight and 'Fab straight' too.

I agree with you , and although I didn’t really fantasise about it , I tried it a while back . Decided I didn’t really like it that much so haven’t bothered again . We do socialise with mainly bi guys as we prefer dogging and they all say they started off by fantasising about it then decided to try it .

"Not in the slightest.

Why are so many gay and bi guys so convinced that all men feel the same way. There is a certain irony in a section of society who celebrate "diversity" suggesting that all men are the same.

Cal "

If it says straight I don’t contact them. It’s surprising though how many do contact me. I don’t mind at all Just some guys want to try, some are curious. Forget diversity that’s a whole different ball game, To complicated, even for me to understand.
