"I find selling tickets for profit pretty contemptuous. No better than the touts sniffing around outside the venue. Go, or do the decent thing and sell them at face value. " If the market's value dictates the price go with the market value.me personally I would keep them you can't beat a stone's concert it up there with ac/dc

"I find selling tickets for profit pretty contemptuous. No better than the touts sniffing around outside the venue. Go, or do the decent thing and sell them at face value. " ^^ This. You couldn’t pay me to listen to the Stones but I’d never sell tickets for profit.

"Got two tickets to see the Stones in London... plus hotel booked... or do I flog them on eBay for 4x the price??!?? " Sell them. Seriously. Crowds are so large you will see someones back and hear loads of noise all the way through. When I went to see Paulo Nuttini it could have been the top of anyone's head i was looking down at. Sell them at what ever you can get for them.

"I find selling tickets for profit pretty contemptuous. No better than the touts sniffing around outside the venue. Go, or do the decent thing and sell them at face value. Completely this!" And again this!! It's about time something was done to restrict secondary ticket sales to face value plus a reasonable amount to cover original booking fees - shame is the government won't do anything to stop it. Plus the fact you won't sell them on eBay OP - they'll force you to sell them through StubHub where they take a large percentage for themselves. Put them on Twickets which only allows face value plus a small percentage and let a fan that couldn't get tickets have them for face value - you'll not have lost a penny and will be doing the decent thing

I adore going to live gigs, but I despise people who buy tickets purely to sell on for a profit.

I listen to a punk band called Ferocious Dog, they're on tour at the moment and have close links to a charity. I've seen a number of posts n facebook from people unable to get to gigs they've brought tickets for and they give the tickets away as long as the recipient makes a donation to the charity. I know which sort of fan I would rather be.

The experience is worth so much more than the tickets (unless they’re shit seats up in the gods at the O2!) And if your selling at face value, I’ll take one!

"Will probably be the last time they tour, but if you have seen them before, flog them, saw then at Glastonbury a few years ago, they were good, but not a patch on what they were back in the 80s when I saw them at roundhay park" I saw them at Roundhay park in 1982 and at Glastonbury in 2013 and at a couple of other concerts inbetween and they were fantastic every time. At glastonbury not only was the music awesome but the overall show was out of this world, i'd say better than in previous years. Looking forward to seeing them at Coventry.

Or, how about people just stop buying them? If they stopped doing it then the touts would stop touting and the fans would win.

"I disagree also with selling concert tickets for profit. I would be happy to get my money back if selling such tickets. However if the OP sells them for face value the person buying might sell them for a profit themselves. I,d go to see them if you can OP, life is for living now. X" Totally... x
