Let’s go through the question again.

1 rabbit saw 6 elephants while going to the river. – Hence, 1 animal (rabbit) is going towards the river.

Every elephant saw 2 monkeys going towards the river. – This is the tricky part, from the sentence it seems to imply each of the 6 elephants saw 2 monkeys going towards the river, hence logically will be 6 x 2 = 12 animals (monkeys) going towards the river.

However, the statement does not explicitly mention that “Every elephant saw 2 DIFFERENT monkeys…”, hence implicit rules apply and infer that the 2 monkeys are the same.

Hence, correct answer is that every elephant saw 2 monkeys, and by inference, the 2 monkeys are the same, hence there exists only 2 monkeys which are going towards the river !! ??

Finally, every monkey holds 1 parrot in their hands. – Hence, 2 parrots are going towards the river.

So in total, 1 rabbit, 2 monkeys and 2 parrots (5 animals) are going towards the river.

It’s an old trick question

There’s 1 rabbit

2 monkeys

2 parrots

The number of elephants is irrelevant

10,000 elephants could of seen 2 monkeys going to the river, it’s still only 2 monkeys.

Nope, that’s the point of this question, the number of elephants is irrelevant. It’s asking how many animals we’re going to the river. The elephants weren’t. But they saw two monkeys going.

"5

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion but opinions other than 5 are wrong

I lime it but wrong..

It’s an old trick question

There’s 1 rabbit

2 monkeys

2 parrots

The number of elephants is irrelevant

10,000 elephants could of seen 2 monkeys going to the river, it’s still only 2 monkeys.

Hmm so what's your answer..?

5 as stated above ! Dude if you do a brain tease at leadt get your answer right.

If it is not 5 then explain....

Were the elephants going to the river?

Nope, that’s the point of this question, the number of elephants is irrelevant. It’s asking how many animals we’re going to the river. The elephants weren’t. But they saw two monkeys going.

You're so close

Rabbit is going to the river, not towards it. 4

That's it..... "

No it's not the answer is 5. Google it. Simple and clear. It's been explained to you a number of times. How can you get the wrong answer to your own question?

We bastardise the 'where's it to?' in this neck of the woods yet I still contextualised that it meant towards - I mean, you can't get to somewhere without heading in its actual direction. Unless the rabbit was hopping backwards, which would frankly be silly.

It says “queation” not question so nobody should even be answering......

And the answer is 4 but not for the reason of the rabbit going to and not towards.

Every monkey holds one parrot in their hands - one parrot held by every monkey. Therefore you have 1 rabbit going to the river (which is the same as towards the river as to head to the river you have to go towards it) and 2 monkeys holding 1 parrot which is 4

According to the OP

every elephant in the group ( no matter what size) saw 2 Monkeys " GOING towards the river".. ..

Each monkey had a parrot in their hands... =2

So the answer is 4

However according to google the answer is 5

"We all ready know the rabbit it going to the river but many animals are going towards it x

In fact, all the animals in the vicinity, not just those in the OP, would head towards the river at some point.

Maybe...maybe not

Maybe not the ones that survive by licking the dew off the grass but I've watched enough David Attenborough to know that the river is the gathering point. It can be dangerous but they all want a bit of river.

What about the natural water springs, or simply... another river

That's why I used vicinity. "

Hmmm yes/ no

But would another river be in the same vicinity?... elephants can go for miles you know

How big is your vicinity? Vicinity - near a place. In this case, the river.

I’m so over this riddle !! Just give the answer

According to the OP

every elephant in the group ( no matter what size) saw 2 Monkeys " GOING towards the river".. ..

Each monkey had a parrot in their hands... =2

So the answer is 4

However according to google the answer is 5

I love you so much....

It's not according to Google.. it's a reference / an answer posted from another site which Google found"

OP please do not declare your love for me on a public site, I’m really not that nice!
