Seriously, why can’t You just go into a shop and have a browse? I must have had about 4 different members of staff in Curry’s ask if they can help me or am I looking for something in particular. It’s really quite off putting after a while and not very relaxing.

I popped into the bmw dealership after and was left to browse quite happily. Hmmm maybe they thought I looked like a cheapskate

I have a way to make them leave.

When they ask you if they can help you, you reply:

Well, actually yes,I am looking for a good proctologist, do you know any?

They usually leave you alone, except if their uncle bob is a proctologist.

That's why I very rarely go to shops. It's their job but whoever thought it's a good idea to bug customers is retarded. If I want some help I'll ask...

The dot in the i

I work in a small shop and I leave people to browse, if they want something they’ll ask, otherwise we might chat but usually (being British of course) it’s about the weather

The first one I can suffer but by the time it reached 4 I’d be walking out. I can’t abide pushy sales staff, if I want help I’ll ask x

Why be so rude to someone just doing their job

Don't forget Curry staff earn commision on top of their minimum wage.

Certainly don't get paid enough to put up with customer attitude.

My son works as a pc technician in and independent computer store.

Luckily he doesn't need to deal with rude people, buthe hears it and sees it

I don't like people talking to me when I'm trying to browse. I can't concentrate.

I’m never rude. Rude would be to ignore them or to say bugger off. I’m always polite and say I’m fine ty. I know they are on commission and it’s probably how they are trained but, in my opinion, it’s not the correct way to earn sales. It certainly puts me off and walk out.

Here in Hong Kong they follow you around the shops, it’s very annoying. I just want to browse without being watched like I’m a shoplifter.

America is really bad for it also, as soon as you walk in they ask if they can help with anything. Let me get in the shop first!! Ha

That's why they do it.

The more they stop you thinking the more likely you are to buy.

They keep their voice and ideas in your head.
