Do people still frequent these shops? Is the any point to them these days with internet etc? Does anyone use them for anything more? Noticed a new one probably not so new now on the a38 near Lichfield

When I lived near one I used to go in regularly. Why not? U can see everything they have there and then whereas online u have to know what u are looking forward too.

I prefer to shop instore as you know what your buying, I did think about setting up my own sex shop in Wakefield but don't think we'd get much custom as I've seen people want to go into Ann summers and then walk away at the last second lol

Theres one in chester just round the corner from the train station that i have been in ..

Id rather go in then you can check sizes better

I would rather shop online.

I've noticed in the sex shops near me the staff tend to hover and often approach you when you don't actually want any assistance. They won't leave you alone to browse.

I hate pushy shop assistants. If I want any assistance I will ask for it, I want to be left alone to have a look around first

There's one in Brighton that's really nice. The staff are very friendly and inclusive, in some shops they tend to avoid engaging with older customer. They have no issues in explaining how things work in graphic terms without embarrassment or being nudge, nudge, wink, wink about it.

We always go in when we're over that way.
