I think mine's a bit shit really, a few nice bits (thankfully I live in one of them) but not much to really rave about. No city or hub to speak of, and I've never found one website where you can pick South Glos as an option on the address pages.

Swansea-we live on Gower so it's always like being on holidays. Wages are rubbish. The people are really warm, funny and friendly and the town itself is horrible so we avoid that place as much as we can

Buckinghamshire.

Um MIlton Keynes which is ok for shopping I suppose but has great events and an awesome theatre.

North Bucks where I live has great Countryside and pubs.

Cost of living is reasonable housing not so much.

And um good transport links to go other places.

We went to the Gower on holiday a couple of years back, absolutely stunning. We looked at the house prices when we got back and remember thinking they must be completely out of sync with the jobs in the area as they were so expensive.

Gloucestershire ~ beautiful county, Cotswold hills to the east, Forest of Dean to the west, River Severn running through the middle. Gloucestershire has some of the prettiest villages you'll find in the UK, and the towns of Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester are all quite lovely too. There are some great places to go walking and mountain biking (things we do lots of)...I love where we live!

Staffordshire- large diverse county. Has good transport links if the M6 is clear. Beautiful countryside and I live on the edge of a large AOUNB so lots of outdoors pursuits available. But close enough to big towns and cities. Cost of living isn’t too bad but also some areas of deprivation. X

Oh yes. Our coast is simply perfect. The A1 may be the worst main road in England (or this universe, actually) but the moment when you come over the brow and can see Holy Island for the first time is magic.

Disagree with you about the cities though, Leeds has brilliant culture (Opera North, Northern Ballet, Grand Theatre, etc etc) and amazing shopping, bars and restaurants, Wakefield has thd Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Hepworth (museum of the year) and even Bradford has the Alhambra.

The Isle of Man.

Beautiful gem in the middle of the irish sea, gorgeous scenery, steeped in history and when the sun is shining there is nowhere else I'd rather be.very low crime rate and unemployment (about 1%) but....

Expensive to live, shit nightlife, small island mentality and you really must escape every now and again for the sake of sanity.

South Yorkshire can be a place of extremes, from deprived areas to lovely areas in minutes.

I live 10 minutes from The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, centres of Sheffield, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Holmfirth and the Peaks.

There is always a lot of local activity in the Updates section of Fabs

We are at the foothills of Wales and across the water from Dublin, we have the lakes and Pennines within 90 minutes drive.

Home country ~ Canada. Full of Canadians , maple syrup, Timmy's ,moose and snow

Hampshire ~ countryside, farms a few little towns not too city. But close to them if you need to be.

Germany/ North west Falen ~ full of Germans and other folk who are posted abroad. Clean , clean , clean so clean. Corn fields, r**eseed fields. Close to major cities, but mainly in the farming country.

Wiltshire ~ Beautiful countryside, wildlife, village, small about 5 shops , 1 school and 1 church. Bliss

Lincolnshire (North)

Not at all flat and boring.

Lots of lovely hills on the Wolds, pretty villages and history.

We've also got the Humber Bridge to take us to Yorkshire

Llandudno, beautiful place, 2 beaches and Snowdonia mountains close by, close to Liverpool, Manchester.

Lovely friendly people. Not badly priced but jobs are an issue with alot of seasonal work.

cheshire but not the leafylane rocstars and footballers bit but the beutifull edge of the pennines bit yorkshire two miles north have to cross a mile of lancs to get there derbyshire three miles east confused you will be

Worcestershire. Gave its name to a sauce. Lots of motorway access. Umm fields/farms and rugby. Not as close to the coast as I would like but we have canals and rivers.

Hertfordshire. Very handy for London and a fraction of the price. Well linked with excellent rail links? motorways and 2 airports in close proximity.

Culturally it's a bit bleak. I mean places like stevenage, Hatfield, Hemel and Borehamwood, no one chooses to visit them do they? Beautiful countryside though
