They do read profiles!

I did a test. Yesterday my profile was normal and kinda friendly and I got 74 messages.

Today it's a bit less friendly, possibly mildly offensive. I only got 26.

I was online roughly the same amount of time and my views were both around 500 for the day.

Only one person made reference to my profile.

In conclusion, roughly 2 thirds of people read profiles.

This study was conducted by Rubidoux scientific research.

Further studies may require volunteers. Are you brave enough?

There's always some caveat on the profile that can throw a spanner in the works.

My messages take a lot of thought. If there's any reason on their profile that we could be incompatible I won't write to them.

Yep. Always read profiles. How else do you know what to say to the person?

OP. If you wrote that I love your writing style. Very hot. Actually a turn on. Is that what got you reduced messages?

Nope. I have my own theories. And don't need to experiment... I'm too long in the tooth

Interesting. I've been thinking about conducting some similar research and experiments myself this week but been too busy so far.

I think we need a research syndicate to do some more tests

Yes I agree OP, I've done similar 'experiments'. My current profile gets a certain type mailing me. Very few actually 'get it'.

I'm always up for new experiments.

Try just having one sentence like "I'm married and very horny but getting no sex at home" - that will get you some interesting mail.

I don’t understand why people don’t read them! I would always read first before looking at their photos. I like to know something about the people before looking.

I can't take credit I'm afraid. A friend and I wrote profiles for each other. I think it reflects me well though.

I've experimented. Soft and fluffy attracts more idiots who think they can take the p*ss. The current version seems to work.

I once put "I want to fuck a married man" on my status. It was surprising how many came out of the woodwork.
