Making an impression

Do you think you make a good impression?

I'm thinking mostly in a group or social situation rather than one on one.

When you meet new people are you friendly and open or are you quite reserved. Do you stand out from the crowd?

Do you ever receive compliments after and feel shocked you were even noticed?

Brighton - even Hove!

I like to blend into the background and be unobtrusive. I’m actually quite quiet, it’s only on here I yap on and on.

I’m a rather shy chap so I tend to be found on the periphery to begin with, only becoming involved when I feel I’ve got something worthwhile to add.

Masked and Distant

Quiet until I get to know people.

Then I'm turn into an "omg he's off again" type

I’m shy. Not very friendly either. We are opposites.

I'm always astounded at how many people are convinced I'm the consummate professional and even been called intimidating...if only they knew.

I'm more of a 'speak when spoken to' kind of guy when I'm in a new crowd once I'm more comfortable I'll chip in if I have anything interesting to say.

I think I can hold my own in a group, I'm very chatty and have no problems talking to new people.

After attending my first fab social about 5 years ago I received a load of messages and verifications declaring how lovely I was to meet and full of compliments. At the time my confidence was super low and I remember shitting myself (metaphorically) before the event. On the night I vowed to just enjoy it and be myself. The fact I was well received was a huge confidence boost and actually a pretty life changing thing for me. I think that was the first time I realised it's ok to just be myself, everyone won't like me sure, but the cool people will
