I wonder what would happen if for 24 hours all blocks and filters were removed...

On the rare occasions I've temporarily lifted my filters for a forum thread I found it difficult to find the forum messages among all the other weirdness that flooded in. I'm happy with the level of messages I get with my filters on

Its not your fault if they're unsolicited.

Try using your filters a little differently... maybe exclude newbies or unverified or no public pics... your age range filters probably won't be of much benefit to you as you've a 40 year age range. I had to reduce mine to 5 years to be able to make mail more manageable.... but I can still message anyone outside my ranges to initiate contact if I want to
