So ladies, you are in the early stages of chatting to a guy and he starts with 'the lines'

Out of all these regularly used 'terms of endearment / familiarity', which (if any) are acceptable (to you) and which make you cringe ?

Let's see if there is any consensus !

The usuals are :

Love / Lover

Darling

Honey / Honeybunch

Baby / Babes

Sweets / Sweetheart

Sexy

Sexbomb

Sugar Plum

Angel / Angel Cakes

This is an off the cuff posting, so feel free to add any that I have omitted !

I think alot of people use these as it's easier than trying to remember people's names.

I wouldn't say they bug me as such but if I'm honest I'm not that keen.

Tend to get babes or hun used the most with me and those are the ones I like the least.

I think an Irish or Geordie accent can get you away with most things !

none make me cringe per say, it's more the content of a message that will make you cringe or not.

There used to be a few that i didnt like but ive come to accept that some are regional.

For me it does, some people clearly use endearments with everyone,so it would be natral to use them with me.

i also quite like older and seem to bring out their paternalistic side, which i quite like

I usually use the ladies' name but without thinking about all the other ways to start a friendly banter.

The more I stick around this site the more complex it seems; or am I learning that really I am absolutely clueless? I think the latter

Have a nice day Babes !!! (;-)
