No, as its usually lust at first site and based on hormone response. Love is more of a slow burn... Its the thing that keeps going even when you think your partners being a twat

It can turn in to to real love but you can't (imho) love someone at first sight, you know nothing about them other than what they look like.

Love at first sight is mainly based on physical attraction so not sure it can be sustain once you start to get to know the person.

"Do you think that love at first sight can sustain for lifetime?"

From our experience... nearly thirty years of marriage, being head over heels for each other and an incredible an incredible sex life says yes, love at first site CAN sustain.

Yes. My husband loved me from day 1 and told me 2 weeks later. We've been together 17 years now.

Well that doesn't make sense. It suggests the physical attraction disappears.

It can do, granted, but it's not a given.

"It can turn in to to real love but you can't (imho) love someone at first sight, you know nothing about them other than what they look like."

That's a fair point.

If I or my missus had revealed ourselves as personalities the other disliked, it wouldn't have gone past the attraction stage.

I think it's true that you meet someone and just know. I met hubby over 20 years ago during my 2nd year at uni. My heyday if you will. Every guy I'd ever met or had any "dalliance" with up to that point bored me within the first 24 hours really. Some I persevered with (some for many months)because I thought they could be but mostly wanted them to be, something special... but many I didn't. When I meet hubby I just knew that something was different. Straight away. Was it love at first sight? Dunno. But I don't think it comes much closer than that.

Physical attraction doesn't disappears but you get to know the person... Which means that you get to see things that you may don't like about the person and it may hamper the said love for that person.

I think it can sustain. My mum and dad knew each other for just 9 days before they got married and they were together for 47 years until he passed away from cancer in 2008. He was the only man she's ever been with.

Yep. However I heard Mr N's name before I met him and knew he would be significant in my life. 37 nearly 38 years later turns out he is
