When someone plays severe mind games with you but it takes a good while to figure that out, how do you get over it,what is your own personal techniques to alleviate stress hurt or even anger and frustration.

First of all acknowledge that it is neither your doing or you fault that it happened.

Secondly, look at the reasons why you allowed yourself to trust that person. What was it about them that allowed you to drop your guard?

Finally, try and identify all factors that contributed and trust your instincts in future when they tell you somebody is not quite what they seem to be.

Hope that helps a bit and sorry to hear you were used in that way.xx

My sympathies, I recently found out I had been on the receiving end of mind games from someone I trusted.

My way of dealing with it is that I am greatful I found out. I had my suspicions but didn't want to think the worst. Now I can move on.

I tend to back off and "if it is meant to happen it will and if it's not then c'est la vie"

Forrest Gump knew how to handle things like this
