There has been many a complaint about not reading profiles........yes there really has. Also there has been many a thread where we are asked to give profile advice. I was wondering what you think about how your own profile reads

Do you think your profile is conducive to being read and why?

Is your profile working for you?

Do you change your profile frequently?

* Is there an aspect of your profile you’d like a second opinion on?

What do you think makes a good profile?

*No I’m not offering any opinions on profiles but maybe you can buddy up with someone on the thread if you’re looking to improve yours. Also please remember the forum rules, no profile advice unless requested

Hi

I change my profile every couple of months... they work for me .... chaps that catch my eye usually have read them and get a feeling of what I desire and enjoy so their messages are engaging.....

Profiles are shop windows.... they are great landing pages..... they are the smell of the bakery.....the first scent of her perfume... the first glance ..... they are important for me and I read the chaps profile before engaging ... add the pics and it creates a menu .....

Sounds like you’ve got it right and you’re getting the results you want. Not always easy, it’s amazing what happens if your profile is right

You have a few unique selling points that bring ppl to your door so why change a winning formula?

I know my profile is long. really long, like super crazy long,

But it works for me and I've had many compliments about it.

Do I change it frequently? Yes. The story part changes every 2 to 3 months.

So you have a profile type that has been mentioned around the forum on many occasions, it’s interesting that you are attracting what you want from it. This is something that ppl need to think about when writing a profile. All the advice there is on the forum is great but is that going to produce a profile that attracts what you want. Equally will it put off those you don’t want to message. Just goes to show be yourself and you will attract what you want, I’m glad you’re making your profile work for

I recently chopped mine down in size and content quite considerably. It now briefly and concisely says what I want it to without folks having to scroll through too much. And I don't think I feel like I'm inclined to jump through hoops (stop that sniggering!) for folk as much anymore either, so I guess I'm comfortable with it

It depends what your looking for ours is quite basic and was spur of the moment.. Definitely needs work but why rush..

Apart from a few minor tweaks (aside from adding pics which is a continual thing) mine is pretty much the same as when I set the profile up about 18 months ago.

I'm mostly happy with the way it is and the way it flows, although do sometimes think it's a touch on the long side, but struggle to find a way to condense it without losing any of the content and flow.

I've been told by others that it's anything from very good, to too long and boring, so accept that it's not for everyone and just focus on am I happy with it and does it sell a good picture of me the person and what I'm looking for/can offer (as a profile is supposed to do) which I think mostly it does.

Of course I'm always open to constructive criticism so if anyone has any, feel free

I did exactly the same a couple of months back as mine was getting added to too often.

So I scrapped it all and started again.

Most read very little on here so I kept it down to a few lines....feckers still don't read it

I've kind of changed my mind about this. I think many people *do* read profiles. I change my profile text quite often and I've noticed that one kind of text gets lots of replies and other text gets none.

It's amusing me no end.

Some of you have some great profiles and say exactly what you want in a clear way and some funny which is good ....great pics too .

I think ours reads ok and shows people what we want but please feel free to take a look and suggest anything that we are missing, it would be much appreciated .

We don't seem to have too much problem been contacted by people who we arnt compatible so guessing it can't be too bad .

I always feel awful having filters on for guys but we do open them up when looking for one , we just got so many silly messages and genuine ones were getting lost in them all . Xx

I’m normally super happy with our profile, I feel it describes us to a tee we don’t go into to much detail because we only meet at our favourite club and even then it’s never arranged meets, we have a kind of if it happens it happens attitude to swinging you see, we are happy for people to message and chat if they wish, and we do love a good chat but it’s not our road to swinging

Now when I say normally, that’s because we normally have a great mix of pics up, but someone said something to me in our club recently and it made me take most of them down it wasn’t about our profile it was a not to nice comment about the lifestyle, now all though it was very pot and kettle, it’ll take me a while to feel happy with sharing pics of our lifestyle, so I’ll leave it as it is for a bit

Well we are quite confident about our looks I don't think profile pics matter to much much and can be deceiving.. Ultimately it comes down to face pics and then a connection after that.. Luckily for us we get very positive feedback and the answer to your question is yes.. It progressing nicely but real life gets in the way a bit too much for our liking

I quite agree as our profile needs tlc and even for it was updated every two minutes it could never tell you what we are like in real life and the same goes for all profiles I believe

I have recently changed mine. It's so hard to keep it concise when all I want to do is rant at people who don't read.

Swinging means different things to different ppl, that doesn’t mean one way is wrong the other right. If you’re happy with your profile and how you swing then I wouldn’t change a thing. Don’t let these ppl get you down

My advice before you start changing a profile you’re happy with is get yourself to a social. It’s a good place to start your Fab journey and shows you’re genuine. Guys using the forum and attending socials have said it’s helped them so you never know. Going from posts I’ve seen on the forum your age may be an issue, however there are ladies that like the younger guy you just need to find them. One thing that might scare the ladies off is they’re assuming they’re not what you’re looking for. You’ve made it clear you’re looking for something, ppl easily jump to conclusions. Happy Fabbing

I change my profile every couple of months... they work for me .... chaps that catch my eye usually have read them and get a feeling of what I desire and enjoy so their messages are engaging.....

Profiles are shop windows.... they are great landing pages..... they are the smell of the bakery.....the first scent of her perfume... the first glance ..... they are important for me and I read the chaps profile before engaging ... add the pics and it creates a menu .....

Sounds like you’ve got it right and you’re getting the results you want. Not always easy, it’s amazing what happens if your profile is right "

I think it’s about time I gave mine a little tweak. I’ve not changed it since I joined fab. Any advice would be great

I change my profile every couple of months... they work for me .... chaps that catch my eye usually have read them and get a feeling of what I desire and enjoy so their messages are engaging.....

Profiles are shop windows.... they are great landing pages..... they are the smell of the bakery.....the first scent of her perfume... the first glance ..... they are important for me and I read the chaps profile before engaging ... add the pics and it creates a menu .....

Sounds like you’ve got it right and you’re getting the results you want. Not always easy, it’s amazing what happens if your profile is right

My profile needs a complete rewrite, it is 100% effective, but hasn't changed since I last wrote stuff on it.

Think I need a good night out, a listen to some surrealistic pillow then some inspired thoughts may flow through my keyboard....

I don't think my profile is conducive to being read. I saw no point in putting anything serious on it, because I know it rarely gets read. Now I just enjoy writing what I want on it, with no care what reaction I get.
