For just a social ?

Related to the distance thread. Seeing how sum don't want to travel at all to meet for 'fun' and sum travel for 100s of miles to meet for sum 'fun'.

Wot is the furthest you have travelled just to have a social And Onley a social ?

I've travelled over 66 miles and spent almost a weeks wages just for a 1 day social.

Wot about you ?

Call me silly, but I once travelled 1250 miles for a meet!!!

I am American, from Texas and I drove to Nebraska to meet a lady. We hit it off and I spent a week there...

NE

Got to be in the top five here, for socials hundreds miles, best one for distance,, Scotland to Kent for eurekas birthday social georgusly yours birthday, also Scotland to cov for social, London to Blackpool for social and club night,

and every cv social from another site three times a year,, so as the profile says,, not always where my location appears to have me due to the job,, but on a plus point, free fuel and company vehicle ,,

Hiding in the shadows

Furthest I've travelled for a social with someone, was to London, about 60miles.

Heading to the Manchester Social in June, about 250 miles each way, but combining it with a visit home to my family.

I don't see distance a problem, if I think something is worth it.

I drive 500 miles every week to visit my mum, so used to hours in my car.

I do like a nice road trip.

Just around the corner

I once drove about 50 miles to meet a couple. Thank goodness they turned out to be genuine or I wouldn’t have been able to claim the mileage back.

A 3 hour drive with stay over. Met her on hols, she was with someone so difficult to meet. She had a wedding to go to on her own, she booked a hotel near to the venue and we met up late in the evening. It was well worth it.

Used to attend a lot of organized social weekends. Travelled to Birmingham, Norwich, Leicester, Derby, Manchester.

Also travel to 6-7 socials every month, up to 50 miles, thru another site.

If it was just a one-to-one fab coffee, I'd need to know/trust the person and like them a LOT, to travel over 50 miles.

I drove for an hour for a social. He travelled by train for an hour. We had a lovely time chatting and met the following week to play. I wouldn't do that for everyone. With this particular guy it just felt so right

Less than 3 miles, but I'm in central London so that can take 45 minutes or more.
