We agree with others, beyond playful taps canes and other implements should only be used by people who know what they are doing. Be wary of the so-called experts who have no idea of the damage (sometimes permanent) that can be caused by these activities. If you do not know the other person and their ability well, it’s not worth it.

I have to agree with this.

Each and every D/s dynamic is unique.

I don't like the cane it scares me...it doesn't make me any less of a submissive as does A Dominant/Domme that doesn't want to inflict extreme amounts of pain into his/her submissive.

A previous dominant/master I had was completely like this and was into masochism and really wanted to inflict pain on me.

I didn't let that happen. I said no.

That didn't and hasn't made me any less of a submissive in fact I think quite the opposite.

So many Dominants(fake Doms) think that inflicting pain is what a D/s dynamic is all about where in real life it couldn't be anything further from the truth.
