Question for the ladies..

Hello ladies,

I'm just curious to see what the general consensus is about the axiom, "Treat them mean, keep them keen"... Or in other words be disrespectful, rude, or otherwise mean to maintain your interest. I am hoping that in a honest forum such as this we might get some God responses..

Anyway over to you..

That's cool and what I would like to think is the norm, but recently I have had reason to think otherwise..

It's an attitude that is possibly best countered by the firm application of a hob-nailed boot to the balls....

(She said sweetly, with a slightly frightening smile...)

I like a cheeky guy who can be a bit teasing and keep me on my toes but any hint of disrespect and I'm off.

Cheeky is good, twattishness isn't.

I don't like it when guys try too hard and seem to keen to please me. I don't want a yes man. I prefer a guy with his own mind but isn't a dick or arrogant in the way he presents himself. I'm not convinced that treat em mean keep em keen applies really but I don't like a puppy dog either.

I would not like that at all.

It’s an over used, immature and inaccurate comment, oft used by people to justify acting like an utter twunt.

In the middle

It’s the same as saying all the girls love a bad boy, no they don’t, all the girls like a decent bloke with a sense of respect about them, bad boys and twattish bores can fuck right off

East Sussex

There are people, a minority I think, who genuinely believe that men behave really badly in relationships, staying out when they've promised to be home, lying, cheating and generally being awful and women behave like neurotic, obsessed harpies. Usually they believe that men and women are different species destined never to understand each other.

I don't agree with them and I really don't believe that treat em mean to keep em keen is anything but an outdated and untrue saying.

I'm too nice on here and it backfires big time usually so maybe I should start being mean

Cave man's perspective for what it's worth.

Treat people as you would like to be treated.

It doesn't seem to happen much on here but wouldn't it make this a better place to be?

Give me a decent, kind, loyal, thoughtful, attentive, fun and sexy guy than a “bad boy” anyday.

If you're thinking you're being ignored on here because you're too nice, think again.

Not a fan of this attitude. On Fab and in life, I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. Not always possible but if you try to stick to this rule as much as possible you shouldn't go far wrong.
