How much notice do you take to people's statuses

I read some and they make me giggle but then some seem to be very passive aggressive or negative.

Do statuses put you off speaking to people ?

Central

I don't find it a feature that I really need or benefit from, though some are funny or alarming - I'm open to being deterred by anyone, if they clearly show we're not matched

If I see one that says "thanks for a great evening, you know who you are" I roll my eyes a bit. If they know who they are why are you telling them?

But in general I don't take much notice.

I sometimes think it’s a shame you can’t comment on status’ ala fb, but then I guess they’d be a lot of desperate comments posted!

One guy messaged us and his was about shitty pants. We spoke about Dr Pimple Popper for a while. Was random and funny. I don't take much notice of them usually tho x

Essex.

We mainly use ours to let friends know when we are planning a night out.

It's far easier than messaging them individually...

Occasionally we will put something more random up...

Some of them are quite funny.

I particularly like the ones that say they’ve had enough the world is shite and they’re off, only to put a new one up the next day saying how great things are

your imagination

I often find myself drawn to people with music lyrics as their status message.... its an easy way to kick-start a conversation.

My local status updates though are generally of the variety. Guys/couples posting for random meets are a complete turn-off... but at least they do help to identify those I won't meet.

I've noticed I recieve alot more messages when I post asking for advice or looking for suggestions. Even if what I'm asking is nothing sexual.

Fab really does have a lovely bunch of gentleman. Who knew!? Lol.

The ones I have to laugh at our the rants.

You know the ones I mean "what a load of time wasters on here. No really swingers"

And the desperate ones "why will no one meet me" etc

Do they think that helps the situation at all

Slough Windsor ish

Some are so negative or bitter I have to wonder what they hope to gain from them.

We tend to use ours to let friends know if we are off to a club or sometimes just for a daft status.

Updating it does plonk you back on the local updates so can encourage new contacts which is sometimes noce.

Statuses dont bother me, im happy to read them.

Peoples profiles, photos and forum comments are more likely to put me off them.

Hillside desolate

I love reading statuses, they make me laugh and sometimes cringe at the same time, and yes they have put me off someone, and sometimes drawn my attention to someone in a good way too

Dublin

I read statuses often. They have both intrigued me enough to message someone and also put me off enough to block someone.

Yes,I block those with constant whiny or aggressive statuses

Or those that say "leaving soon or nobody meets on here .

Some can be quite amusing though
