When we joined fab the one thing that struck us and made us smile was the acceptance that people of all shapes, sizes, race, religion etc are sexy and beautiful in their own ways. Attraction is many things to many people and generally the fab community is all encompassing.

More recently though the body comparison threads, the shaming of certain groups by individuals has started to put me off posting on here.

Can we all just be accepting and spread the love please? Mindfulness before submitting a post goes a long way people

I see no issue with threads celebrating different body shapes.

But there are a lot of “vs” threads lately which brings out the worst in people. I don’t see why it should be a competition.

Couldn't agree more.

Those starting negative, shaming threads tend not to be swingers though. True lifestyle swingers are accepting and tolerant of others, preferences can be expressed without offence and the few that take offence again are generally not true swingers.

Hear hear, I’ve been a bit at a loss just lately on here because of threads saying all that. It’s fine having a preference, but no need to put others down who don’t fit into your wants. We’re all attractive to someone. Being considerate of others is a more attractive commodity than a cock pic. X

Just be thankful you don’t look like me AND have eczema lol (admittedly I don’t have it very bad but this time of year I always get flare ups)

I get a lot of knockbacks and messages read and deleted - I know I’m an acquired taste lol. Have had the outright rude ones tho (the polish couple who started calling me “ugly c**t” or something along those lines in polish - google translate is amazing lol) but that’s what the block and report buttons are for

i agree, there is to much crap going on in the world, so many people are so shallow, a personality is just as beautiful as image and some people on here truly have ugly personalties. No one is perfect but we all came in as a bag of bones and will leave the same way, all get buried 6ft down ( unless your ashes are scattered but you catch my drift) were so backwards in paying people compliments but forward in picking out a persons negative.

I was just discussing this with fuzz actually and I think I'm with a train of thought that preference is fluid, they change as we age and experience more. So completely personal that shouldn't we just accept? Is it really relevant to anyone what our preferences are?

Saying that if someone asked me my 'preference' now, I'd be a bit stuck to come up with any but if I did, what would it matter to the person asking?

Oh Peach how did I not see this earlier!! What a great thread that hits the nail firmly on the head - whilst I'm not so sure things were necessarily "better" a year or even two years ago when I joined - they were certainly different and not quite as negative as they seem to be currently.

Why that is I really don't know, have wondered if it's just me getting more cynical in my old age but don't think it is (I was always like this). Like I said things weren't necessarily better before, and there was always a certain level of negativity but these days the forums do seem to be full of sniping, moaning and worse.

The sooner that changes the better

"It's a lovely sentiment Peach, but will fall upon deaf ears. At the beginning of the year I asked people to stop being cunts, and they couldn't.

I don't even think some of them tried.

I get asked this daily "

What you can't stop either?...

j/k.....

I don’t really feel the forum is anymore negative now than it was when I started using it 4 and a bit years ago. I got completely roasted a few times then. I stopped posting threads because of it and stopped meeting others. There have always been keyboard warriors and dogmatic people on the forum.

I now simply admit, I’m a flawed human being and for the most part my opinion is worth diddly squat on here. Instead I take the piss out of myself, enjoy myself with the people I like. I show compassion and friendliness to those I notice might be in need of it that I don’t know when I can. I also contribute my more serious thoughts when I think I have a useful contribution to make (not very often).

"Great sentiments.

This place should be totally inclusive.

Erm except to Water Voles. I prefer regular Voles.

Oh Funky....I never took you as vole-ist. That has put me right off of your peachy arse "

I knew such a contentious view would be devisive and possibly threaten my chances with you, I know how much you admire the water vole.

I'd still like to drill you if you can see past my extreme views please.
