Fair point, I bet quite afew people would agree to that. I cant say I regret getting married and if I had not.... I would not have had many wonderful experiences including my offspring. But on reflection, I should perhpas have stuck with my first career choice.

I sometimes think that when i am in a bad mood. Some days a stone, some days a diamond. Who knows what my life would have been like if i hadnt got married, could have been a lot worse.

We shouldn't change a moment. How else could we reflect and realise that we now know what we should have done? If we did our second time around first it would be our first time around and we'd still imagine it could have been better. Live in the moment and keep going forward.

When asked what surprised him most about humanity, the Dali Lama answered:

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

I would have been stronger when I was younger, I would have stayed away from the kids dad, even if that meant I wouldn't have had them and maybe worked harder at getting a job, been stronger and stood up to my mum, learned to relax and enjoy having fun

Surely being able to see into the future would be scarey and would give you the opportunity to change it, so therefire the future would be negated.

Although we can have an idea of what is to occur no one can be 100% sure

I'm also in the "change nothing camp"

Yes I maybe should have stayed in my first career, I did love it but for many positive reasons I had to leave and my life is how it is now and I wouldn't change it. Even if I had stayed in a job I love, I would never have had what I now have.

Wouldn't change it for the world.

As the question is “what would you do differently etc”... it does not necessarily follow the people you’d interact with in the alternate existence, will accommodate your presence in a manner that might result in a better or happier outcome than the one you have now……. init !
