Accused of being somebody else

Hi all, twice this month I have been messaged by males accusing me of being somebody else, one of them messaged me 3 times and then started calling me by the name of the person he thought i was. Obviously he was blocked. I just wondered if this has happened to anybody else?

All the time. It’s their way of getting to chat to you as you feel compelled to reply to them saying they’ve got the wrong person. I just block them all now.

Yeah we've had this twice. Got accused of fake photos and and shouldn't be on here etc

Asked them the name of the profiles and voila my pics were there. Messaged them. One couple was that daft they didn't realise who was messaging x

When I first came on fab I started in the chat rooms, After a couple of days some regulars asked me if I had been on fab before, I hadn't, One or two didn't believe me and said I was someone that was verbally abusing people in the chat rooms and was removed from fab,

As people was starting to ignore me I ended up going on cam just to prove I wasn't that person,

I once got accused of nicking someone's clothing at a meet.. I'd never seen them in my life and certainly hadn't had a met with them, When I protested my innocence the other person got aggressive, I reported them and blocked them.

Annoyingly I have, sent a face pic and got accused of using someone else’s body pics

I doubt it, but i guess i may never know.

It was later followed up about a week later by another male from hundreds of miles away saying i think you may have been contacted by my friends ex accusing you of being her. I ignored 2 messages from this guy till he said who i was being accused of being. I said yes that's right... end if conversation. Both men blocked.

I had a message last week from someone claiming to have seen me in a particular local location which gave me a momentary tummy flip until I realised I'd been absolutely nowhere near there for at least four years or more.

Much more disconcerting, I got a veri out of the blue a while ago - a full on play one too - from a guy who apparently thought he'd encountered me in a club. I *had* been there that night but 100% hadn't noticed him, let alone gone anywhere near him at all. That felt a bit creepy to be honest, I still don't know if it was a case of genuine mistaken identity (if he'd played without exchanging names) or a clumsy attempt to get me taking to him. Either way he got blocked

Yes a guy messaged 3 months ago and again twice last week asking if I was Julie from ...... we told him to do one,and we will report if he messaged again.

I don't get accused of being someone else, but when I first joined I had my town in the location. A gent went to very long lengths to find out who I was. Even messaging me on Facebook. No I'm locality is vague

Yours sounds like an actual case of mistaken identity - I would say it’s odds on that it was the same guy, assuming you were his ex. When you blocked one profile, he got another.
