When you know they agree because they are desperate

Today’s thought.

Are you tired of people pleasers?

The people who will agree with anything said in the vain hope they will impress someone?

Do you know the type?

Commonly referred to as sheep.

Your thoughts?

They don't bother me. I prefer laid back people. Argumentative people bother me more. Those that like to make every little thing a huge issue.

From my experience I’ve had many who agree to what I suggest knowing full well they are no way going to if we met. It’s each to thier Own. It’s a free world and we all shouldn’t be allowed to say what we want and if we agree or disagree with something then that should be accecpted

I agree

Actually I do agree,I once had a relationship with a guy who made a song and dance about every little bloody thing,it worn the hell out of me in the end. I now want easy going men in my life.

I barely give it a second thought to be honest. At least not enough of a thought to be tired by them.

Sometimes in life it's best not to rock the boat for the sake of rocking it so we all try to people please at one time or another.

In fact people who argue for the sake of argument bother me more.

To be honest, it depends on the context but I don't mind a people pleaser, it's better than a load of drama

I’ve never been around people pleasers. My friends and family are and were highly opinionated and sarcastic with it. Bloody exhausting!

It's a very negative way of describing people. Perhaps it's not about 'impressing people' and more just about being agreeable, wanting others to feel comfortable?

I find it amusing when people contradict themselves depending on who they are trying to agree with. It does come across to me as shallow but then I'm naturally cynical, each to their own though, I guess plenty think I'm just cantankerous

There and to the left a bit

I don't think there's anything wrong with agreeing with someone as such - it's when it is blatantly obvious it's being done to curry favour that it makes me grin. Mind you conversely there are people who blatantly and obviously disagree with others purely to snipe and that is just as bad if not worse.

The ones that really make me laugh on here though are those whose opinion changes to suit whether they want to curry favour or snipe with the person they're responding to - and often do so in the same thread

People pleasers exist because some people want to be pleased.

But how does that make them a pain in the arse?! That's what I don't understand. Everyone can see them for what they are.

How do you know they are desperate? What do you say to determine they are desperate?

I like people who are easy-going without being afraid to express their opinions or put their foot down if they feel the need to.

Control freaks and doormats are equally wearing.

How do you keep track of what people say to different people? I can barely follow one thread.

I'm neither a doormat or desperate. I'm a can't be arsed about much, so I nod my head and say, whatever. There's not much I don't do in the bedroom, which is now being called desperate.

of all the people on the planet, I’m really not going to get bent out of shape over the ones that agree with me. There’s so few of them

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm a desperate people pleaser. The reasons are complex. It doesn't stop me having and expressing my own opinions and I'm not into rimming.

Always reminds me of the Paul Whitehouse character ‘Indecisive Dave’ on The Fast Show. Just agreeing with everybody and anybody. Having no mind of his own whatsoever. I find these people particularly transparent and laughable and hence why the sketch exists and the general public can relate to the comedy it brings.

I contradict myself all the time.

I agree or disagree with the comments not the people though. People seem to take it personally.

I find it odd because my real life friends can disagree, have a heated argument and laugh at the end. On here it's very different.

People pleasers can be annoying, equally argumentative people can be annoying. We’re all weird in our own ways, show me an adult that isn’t a bit screwed up and i’ll show you somebody incredibly boring.

Yes I know one or two. One especially who would agree with everything I say even though I know it's now their opinion.

Them kind of people turn me off as they seem abit dumb to me. I need intelligence when I'm talking or its a instant turn off. Had a girl that was really cute and a plank of wood would have given me better conversion, I got out fast and just never looked back.
