London

That dress, the go to dress, the one that is always there for me, the £300 dress I bought for £40, the one that makes me smile when all others fail, the dress that I lovingly cover on its hanger...does not fit me anymore. My shape has changed and now it’s just...wrong.

Sad

"Get another one "

It would be like trying to replace my firstborn.

Then what's the point of the thread?

If you can’t see it, I can’t help you, try bing cutting somewhere else.

I get this. My favourite bra looks crap now as my boobs have got a bit smaller. I don't want to buy it again as it might not suit me and it won't be such a bargain.

Farewell boob thrusterupper bra. You were wonderful and a good eye magnet.

Nice one! New wardrobe? Have you had to say farewell to a favourite piece?

Is it the one that assisted with your profile pic by any chance?

My favourite denim skirt doesn't stay on my waist any longer and I was having to fold the material over with a safety pin. It started to look odd so I finally binned it.

I am hopefully resolving this very situation. All the clothes that I really like are too small. I've lost 2 stone so far. Another stone should mean I'm back in my lovely summer wardrobe in time for summer.

If it is a£300 dress, does eBay have a smaller one.

Or can you pay for alterations?

Might be worth it?

It’s many years old and I cut the label out of it so I can’t search the make. I do have a clever friend that may be able to take in though so I shall ask.

Keep it! It’s a reminder of what you used to be and how far you’ve come.

Could always send you a photo of me in it ....you wouldn't need a big frame for that

I'm having some of my old fat clothes taken in. Only the favourites though.

In other news, the buttons on my new shirt don't do up across my boobs. But it was a quid so I don't mind. Perils of internet shopping.

Well guessed! Yes indeed. I hope you find another dress that brings you as much happiness.
