Lots of people find today hard. They may have lost their Mum, have a difficult or no relationship with theirs. Plus many have also lost a child.

This thread is for those people. Xx

This should have been my first mother’s day, as a mother.

Thinking of everyone today xx

My 98 year old passive aggressive narcissist mother refuses to die and will continue to be the nasty bitch she is for years after she eventually does.

The negative impact she has had on all 4 of her children is still manifesting itself today.

The one she gave away at birth had a very lucky escape.

Oh dear, so sorry to read this. Hope you are ok?

Not all mums are decent human beings! That’s very true!

I myself was never cared about by my mum, my siblings were more favoured, she resented me. In 2011 she contracted Dementia, by 2013 it was very advanced, myself and my brother looked after her until her death in 2016. I found it difficult looking after a woman who never liked me but I just did it because even though she didn’t like me I still respected her as my mum, it was difficult though.

That is the saddest couple of paragraphs I have ever read.

My sibs suffer dreadfully out of a sense of misplaced loyalty. Nobody would be around anybody that treats them like she does, I escaped many, many years ago.

I hope she doesn’t suffer in any way, I have compassion for her but my wellbeing comes first.

My Mum was a horrible horrible lady who chose something else other than me. My Dad Grandad and Grandma are my Mother figures.

My Mother is now suffering terribly from Dementia it’s somewhat ironic that I now care and pay for her. She gave up on me but I’m not giving up on her.

To all the good Mums Dads brothers and sisters I salute you all.

I lost my very loving mother in 2015. I miss her every day, but mothers day is always so much harder.
