...I've had 2 - and on the same night!

Several message threads from both spanning more than a 2 week period - check (they both originally initiated the meet requests)

Had our mobile number to let us know of any last minute problems - check

They checked with us/ we checked with them (one of each) late in the arrangement to see if everything still ok - check

and neither turned up nor even had the decency to let us know - so I think that qualifies as timewasters... surely...!

Their loss, if I had arranged to meet I'd jump at the chance and be damned if anything stopped me!

on face of it yes ...

however , cancelling a meet is sometimes last thing on a persons mind if something major has happened .

Your gold star that recognises you have been the victim of a timewaster is on it's way from Admin....

Trust that you reported them though?

To Admin that is....

Pretty sure it's also the OPs loss.

To the OP, it is a shame there are people on here who aren't ready to swing, but don't realise it until the meet is arranged. They really should have texted you. Just block and report. It might not achieve much but it makes me feel better to do so.

nerves and change of mind are allowed.however ,just shame they werent just up frount BEFORE leaving you waiting for a no show ..thats out of order .

i was just putting forward another point to concider and MAY be very valid reason for someone not contacting you to canx meet. just something to keep in mind .

thankfully we found some replacements very locally at short notice - so we didn't lose out at all

I'm not moaning as such - I've done all I could beforehand and afterwards - it's a slightly tongue-in-cheek thread - these things happen
