Years ago I developed a immune system disorder and I became allergic to my own saliva.

The whole of my mouth, lips, gums became ulcerated. I used to get up in the morning and have to prise my lips apart with a teaspoon. not nice and fucking painful.

I lived on mash potato and tinned spaghetti for 3 weeks

Don't work as well that unfortunately but once you have got rid of em a nightly gargle with salt water will keep em down

Wet ya finger dip it in salt get as much as you can to stick to your finger then hold it on the ulsur until you can stand the pain no longer

i went thro a phrase of having mouth ulsers pretty much all the time, when you have a lot they are so sore and painful, i used to go days hardly eating when they really flared up, even cool soup was sore, i feel your pain

My doc said they are caused my stress and/or when your bodies run down

And this isnt a joke

When i split from the hubby just over 2 years ago now, they cleared up and ive never had one since

I don't what's worse - a gob full of ulcers or tinned spaghetti !

It's a close call

My mum used to say it was a vitamin deficiency, but I couldn't remember which. I googled and got this though.

" For people who have frequent mouth ulcers, a recent study suggests that vitamin B12 tablets taken under the tongue (sublingually) may help, even in people whose blood level of vitamin B12 is normal. In the study, 74% of the people given the B12 became ulcer-free, compared with 32% given a dummy tablet. The treatment had to be given for at least 5 months to be effective."

Maybe ask your local quack

in the night garden

My mate used to get them terrible after he had eaten crisps.

In the end he had to stop eating crisps.

Also I have lady friend who is allergic to the adhesive in food packaging and that can set her mouth off if the food has been contaminated slightly (which is easy to do if you think).

Anything ring a bell for you dude?
