What do you prefer for first effort of approach ? I kind of figure if someone's getting loads of messages they're probably more likely to look through their winks than read each message...

We ignore winks and delete them every so often without even looking.

We prefer a message, we will read your profile, view your pics and read any verifications before we open and read your message. Then we reply to all, how is based on whether or not we think you read our profile before messaging us.

So make sure your profile says the right thing about you.

I like getting winks, as I can reciprocate more easily than writing a message back - I take a look at the guy's profile, get a view of his interests and range of photos and read his profile message. Then wink back if there's a good chance of a match.

It's frustrating when a guy with a profile with either no pics or pics that don't really give you a good sense of how he fully looks, sends a wink though.
