At risk now and for the future? Should green belt be allowed to be "declared" for future development or protected for the enjoyment of future generations?

What say you?

Keep em! too many houses being built when there is loads stood empty.

We need some British identity.

To quote Mark Twain "Buy land, they're not making it any more."

Bradford

Not only keep the ones we've got, create many more open green spaces.

Loads of derelict council land that could be grassed over and planted. It's a start.

East Grinstead

Village Greens a total hands off, usually provide a focal point for events over the year, and somewhere for kids to hang out.

Green Belt, it is needed, both aesthetically and environmental reasons. Look at areas where they've built on old flood plains and what happens every few decades.
