Would you use a room service, such as offered in hotels, if staff popped to your home to do the bed and a tidy up?

And maybe bring a nice dippy egg and soldiers and a pot of tea in the morning too?

Yes, I think the hot tea is a must and I'm not turning down the food.

Each street would have a few maids, like a floor in a hotel, who'd pop in to see you're alright.

What would you pay?

This already exists. Especially if you live central city it’s not a huge expense either.

Maid would generally pop by and do your cleaning every few days

Housekeeper cook would take a more active role in keeping the place in order and prepare some or all meals for you. Again can be every day or every few days and you get a fridge/freezer full of food.

Pretty much if you’re happy to pay for it then they’ll do it.

Best route seems to be what friends of ours have done, they have an au pair that looks after their daughter, but she also cleans and prepares some meals. She’s more like a roommate than an employee though, relationship isn’t stuffy or anything. Really cheap too, they give her a room, and the household bills they cover, and i think around £1200 a month.

Seems like an excellent deal to us for a 22 year old live in Swedish blonde.

I had a fairly comprehensive service at my home in London, with a gorgeous Brazilian young guy.

Whilst in bed this morning, I just thought there may be millions of people who would welcome a 'room service' knock on their door in the morning, where the maid/male maid could pop-in, just like at a hotel. Each street could have a band of maids waiting. £5 for a quick 15/20 mins would be affordable and a life-saver for many busy people (It's too low priced for a cleaner but I'm aiming low). BTW, I'm not providing the service.

No I wouldn't like it.

After spending so much time in Hotels and shared spaces etc.. I value my own space.

I can make my own bed for free.
