Have you seen those photos where a large number of female or male faces are averaged out to produce an 'average Irish face'?

Most of us would rate those faces as above average in attractiveness. There lies the answer I think.

I think most of us are within the average/normal range. However most of us have something attractive and unique about us. There are very few truly unattractive people.

I think it's 90% facial symmetry.

Surgery to make faces more symmetrical is probably underrated for those with real defects.

I thought this was interesting:
