As a butcher I'm always wary of any food that states " meat " . What meat , beef , pork , badger , hedgehog?? . I love pies but a good old Steak n Kidney for me .

Define pie. If it's stuff in a bowl topped by a pastry lid that is not a pie.

If pastry encompasses the stuff around and top then thar is indeed pie.
