Walking like an idiot

Leeds

I was in town today during my lunch break and heard a mum shout at her kid in a very loud northern voice ‘stop walking like an idiot’.

Made me wonder....

How does an idiot walk?

Also have you heard any mind boggling phrases lately?

Practical parenting right there.

Someone should speak to social services.

My mother used to say that to me! She hated when I didn't lift my feet enough when walking and there was that scraping noise. She used to tell me "stop walking like an idiot. Lift your fucking feet when you walk".

That's what I was going to say. Dragging your feet and scraping your heels on the ground. Or, walking right in front of me and criss crossing a foot away, making me think I'm going to walk into them.

My mum always said ‘if the wind changes your face will stay like that’.

I was always scared my face wouldn’t move, a bit like Botox

Up on them there hills

Wasn’t an idiot call, however, one child was being a prat on a curb near a busy road.

Safeguarding is an odd concept.... feeds off so many different values.

Time and place comes to mind.

My thoughts then turned to this, what if the child sees a disabled person having difficulties walking and thinks ‘idiot’!
