"Not so hot on poetry but the mention of a 'cold fire up the spine' made me instantly think of a piece of music... David A. Stewart & Candy Dulfer - Lily Was Here Never fails to send shivers through me " If it makes you smile in a way that the world seldom sees, who am I to criticise? That's the beauty of beauty (if you pardon the pun) it is unique to each of us. I will make appoint of finding this piece of music..... P xxx

"Rutland water is beautiful all year round but especially this time of year. Thankfully for me it is on my doorstep" Something about water isn't there? Probably Freudian, but who cares? Give me a river, a summers day, the grass green, and a glass of fine White, and I will join you in your smile... P xxx

"i went to a seminar once where they were defined as grace moments...those brief moments in the day when we stop and realise the beauty in the simple things around us. Today my grace moment was the cobwebs strung across the back garden, the sunlight catching the dew Cant say it better " Well in a way, for me, you did, the thought was better than the Poem. That cobweb laced with dew, the first songs of autumn (for me), thank you for sharing P xxx

"i went to a seminar once where they were defined as grace moments...those brief moments in the day when we stop and realise the beauty in the simple things around us. Today my grace moment was the cobwebs strung across the back garden, the sunlight catching the dew drops. What is this life if full of care We have no time to stand and stare? No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep, or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. Cant say it better " When we stay in Wales, on the side of a mountain, with no tv, phones, or central heating...it is always the most amazing and liberating time. We spend our time, enjoying our little slice of heaven...and don't let me even start on the stars just imagine being inside a snow-globe, all those small white particles all around your head...sensational

""He stepped down, Trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun, yet he saw her, like the sun, even without looking"" I liked that, and I'm not such a literary person. Music tends to touch me more... and your thread has reminded me of a song (although many have beauty) that none of you will know, and many may not like, but none the less I will share! and p.s. thanks as I'm really enjoying this right now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etXDl-5zy_8

Perhaps not quite my cup of tea, but has a jazzy element which means you may well like my one

"My beautiful moment of yesterday .... An old couple, in their 80s, after a medical appointment, were waiting for the ambulance to take them home. I came out of room nearby, arms full of paperwork, rushing onto my next task but they caught my eye and I stopped for a minute to look. I watched from behind, her in a wheelchair, he standing at the side of her, both holding each others hand. I imagined a lifetime of romantic love that guided them through the decades. I like to see old couples holding hands " and that warm image made me smile

"i took some lovely snaps over the river kelvin in glasgow,it was a dull looking day, but i turned the greens out in a higher contrast, all the autumn colours came out looking remarkable, even my friends in america commented on facebook saying how beautiful it was,,,so thats gloomy glasgow......Oh and I spotted a big black heron, sitting on a pilar in the middle of the river...unfortunately I couldnt zoom in to great with my camera, but to me, it was beautiful. Later i took some pics of leaves along the canal, some close up ones, and some cotton type bank . oh and Ive tonnes of my gorgeous cat pics(that I may lose if my laptop cant be repaired!!!!!)" I love browsing peeps landcape snaps. Found a lovely one last year and it is now my first oil painting. The feel and the look of the oil paint ... yes ... I found that beautiful.

""One of the early pioneers in neurocardiology, Dr. J. Andrew Armour, introduced the concept of a functional "heart brain" in 1991. His work revealed that the heart has a complex intrinsic nervous system that is sufficiently sophisticated to qualify as a "little brain" in its own right. The heart's brain is an intricate network of several types of neurons, neurotransmitters, proteins and support cells like those found in the brain proper. Its elaborate circuitry enables it to act independently of the cranial brain – to learn, remember, and even feel and sense. The recent book Neurocardiology, edited by Dr. Armour and Dr. Jeffrey Ardell, provides a comprehensive over_iew of the function of the heart's intrinsic nervous system and the role of central and peripheral autonomic neurons in the regulation of cardiac function."" Indeed...the heart feels...
