We all look out for elderly relatives/neighbours/homeless when the weather is this brutal. Spare a thought for the furry four legged friends/neighbours/homeless as well. I built a little shelter at the bottom of our garden and stocked it with nibbles and a couple of blankets for the stray street kitties.

Anyone else done similar?

"I filled the bird box with hot water bottles "

What an odd diet the birds of Cambridge have.

Ooo, good call.

Clean your pets feet. Grit can dehydrate and cause liver failure. Also, the ground is usually laced with antifreeze type products, all highly toxic to cats and dogs.

Any stray street kitties in my garden would be in my house in 5 mins flat!
