I love my greenhouse, I can't close the door though because a pair of Robins nested in the box of plant pots last year and they're already casing the joint for this year.

Yes but the seeds aren’t sown yet for the same reason as you.

Just where I need to be.

I've just started my apache chillies from seed. I keep them in conservatory until they have established. Usually April put outside. This year a third of my garden I've allocated to growing stuff.I am looking at more growing in container pots like cauliflower and vertical growing.

Hillside desolate

I used to have a greenhouse and loved it, but couldn't take it when we moved. I still grow things like chillies indoors but I will eventually get a new greenhouse. I loved doing my own tomatoes, cucumbers, spring onions, garlic etc. Too cold here without a greenhouse to do all that stuff!

Somewhere / Everywhere /Kinksville

Sir has a nice plot in the garden. Last year we had potato’s, carrots (orange and yellow), beetroot, lettuce, an array of herbs, beans, leeks. Just so lovely having Home grown produce.

We grow flowers in pots but I'm cutting back this year. The watering is a bit of a bind.

I bet it is! We can grow stuff like olives outside here because our gardens very sheltered and faces south.

It is, isn't it. I like just walking outside and picking stuff for dinner.

Polytunnels are great. If I had the space I'd have another one.

Just to liven up possibly the dullest thread ever on Fab - who has had sex in their greenhouse?

I started this thread because someone else started one about a club called Greenhouse and it was being overtaken by people discussing their garden greenhouses.

I can grow already by using a charcoal burner or better known as a boat charcoal heater

18hrs worth of heat by one load you just top up when needed just a bit measy filling it but using paper bags stops all the mess when loading it

low flame 200f high flame you can boil a kettle on it

greenhouse door is held shut by a stone to stop cats getting in

alternative to warm your beds is use a rocket stove

though not as big as you might think

I have thought about getting some sort of heater but here on the south coast it probably wouldn't get much use. I'm not the dedicated sort who grows through the winter

We start all our seeds off under horticultural fleece. But it looks like this year is running a few weeks late.

We have a greenhouse at home.

We took on a half allotment plot a few weeks ago. The ground is now dug and ready for planting, so far we’ve only got garlic in there which will like the cold spell we’re having at the moment.

We’ve got seed potatoes chitting, 3 varieties. Also got a huge box full of seeds but waiting until it warms up before we plant any
