I thought I was straight when I started in this scene, but gradually my latent bisexuality rose to the surface. Although I am predominantly heterosexual and haven’t had a bisexual encounter for 6 years I am bi/pansexual by orientation. I realised I had lived in denial since I was a youngster.

However I don’t think everyone is bisexual, I think there’s a spectrum that everyone fits on so some are completely heterosexual just as much as some are completely gay, then the rest are somewhere in-between.

I think the swinging scene has the potential to uncover any latent bisexuality because of the reduction of inhibitions that people feel as they engage and the permissible experimentation allowed. However ‘denial’ of and ‘hiding’ bisexuality either to self, others or both are also a factoring why there are many fab-straight guys and to a different extent fab-bisexual women who would prefer just to be heterosexual but feel ‘coerced’ to act bi. The latter of course is a separate subject.

As the Doc says there's a spectrum with completely and utterly straight at one end and only interested in the same sex at the other - in between there are varying degrees of bisexuality that start with mild curiosity at what it would be like to have sex with someone of the same gender right through to being totally sexual with either gender and beyond.

Some on here choose to hide their level of interest in their bisexuality for a variety of reasons including shame, confusion or in a lot of cases the mistaken belief that it increases their likelihood of meets with ladies and couples that won't meet bisexual guys.

I think that there are some that explain away going with a TV as not being bisexual as the person "looks like a woman".

Personally I am openly bisexual and see no reason to hide it - if people won't meet me because of it then they obviously weren't the right meet for me anyway and I respect their preferences enough not to hide my sexuality to get round that as a result.

It's a difficult enough question to answer from my own perspective so, can't really answer for anyone else.

I think that Gemini and the Doc are right about there being a whole spectrum of sexuality.

When I checked out your profile, in the first few pic's of you presenting as a female you look absolutely stunning. I have always identified myself as a straight man but, even though I know you are male, dressed like that and made up I find you very sexy and a huge turn on.

Scanning down the photo's a little there is a photo of you presenting as male. While I can appreciate you're a good looking guy, for me it's an instant turn off. I have no interest in men at all. It is, even though I know you have male parts, your femininity that is attractive and sexy.

Many years ago I had an encounter with someone very similar to yourself and while presenting as a female they performed oral on me, it was a very pleasant experience.

If my situation was different and, with the right person I think I would be happy to do this again and, perhaps even reciprocate although, not entirely sure.

Although I am not sure where this puts me on the spectrum I am sure I am on there somewhere. I wouldn't say I was fully bi as men do nothing for me but, from what I have just said, I guess I'm not fully straight either.

People and their sexuality is complex. I think the reason that the gay pride flag is the colours of the rainbow is because life isn't black and white...not in the gay community, the Bi community or the straight community.
