10 years time

I look back on my childhood and think it was a happy time, my teens were exciting and my early 20's are where I started to really find myself.

Lets fast forward 10 years.

If you look back on this stage in your life what do you think you'll remember? How will you remember feeling?

I’ll probably reflect and think I didn’t appreciate how bloody lucky I was. Funnily enough that’s how I see the last 10 years. And the 10 before them.

Oh gawd. That hurts to think about. I’m finding things pretty tough right now but I hope it will have been for a reason that I’ll know in time.

I will look back and reflect with pleasure. We've both worked hard to get here and although our lifestyle is modest its fun, full of small pleasures and content. There are things that I will recall with sadness but that as Esther would say is life.

I will most likely wonder how the hell I didn't have a mental breakdown

I’ll remember the good stuff and probably forget the bad stuff. That’s the way nostalgia usually works.

In ten year's time my grandkids will be teenagers. I imagine i'll spend most of my time wishing they were small again.

Happy at leaving the job in the airport, starting to put what I learned into practice.

Right now I am by far the happiest and most content I've been at any point in my life. My twenties and thirties were generally a dreadful time that I don't really like to look back on. But I will look back on this current period with great fondness. This is a precious time

I’ll look back on it as a good time when I was content.
