Why is it that anything that is good for you tastes like utter crud?

In a world where science can alter crops, looks etc, why can’t they make boring healthy food taste better?

Name something healthy that tastes lovely and doesn’t have the texture of cardboard.

Agree on salads, but I would say most healthy things taste good, just needs the right seasoning of herbs and spices. Have plenty tasty meal ideas. I just had cauliflower rice and peas with jerk chicken. Taste fab

I like the taste of whole foods. You can make dressings and season food to make it to your taste.

People assume that only food with no fat or natural sugars are good for us. We need fat and the minerals and vitamins in fruit and veg, to keep our bodies healthy on a cellular level.

I agree. Although I'm losing weight I have things like full fat milk and butter... in moderation obviously. I think they are much better for you than the "diet" alternatives. Natural Peanut butter is another thing that I have. It's packed full of goodness.

It's 80% to a healthy lifestyle, your diet. I choose to run slot as well but if you eat right exercise can just be your normal day today. It's a massive change for me as I never really used to eat healthy foods lol

Thanks for the input, we will be trying some of your ideas out.

I eat healthily and exercise twice a day but still don’t get in todays world where we are told to avoid salt, fat etc they cannot give us better alternatives and wow are the ones out there expensive.

Can’t stand the low fat alternatives that are out there, they are just gross.

We don't need alternatives really we just need to readjust our taste buds. We only miss the salt and sugar because we have become addicted to it.

(BTW, I realise the irony of me playing healthy eating advice being a fatty myself but I guess it's easier to dish the advice out rather than do it yourself lol)

Depends of your definition of healthy I suppose.

I eat butter, eggs and cheese, drink my coffee with cream, cook in ghee and coconut oil, eat above ground vegetables, steak, pork belly, salt, fatty lamb and don’t eat anything that has been manufactured to make it unnatural and have done for ten years.

I lost eight stones that way and have blood lipid and sugar levels lower than government guidelines.
