Not that kind, you filthy minded people

Bit early in the day I know, but as I've seen a few people posting about it already, so I thought I'd start a thread.

What's your favourite meat or veggie dish?

What's the essential veg to make a good roast?

Lamb, goose fat roasties, buttery mash, parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower cheese and a couple of homemade Yorkshire puds with lashings of lamb gravy.

All Slimming world illegal. Sigh.

That's a point. I'm guessing you can have the roast dinner on Slimming World can't you? It's full of veg and meat, just not the yorkies???

I'm not on Slimming World, but a few friends of mine are.

It’s all adaptable to suit the diet except for the lamb fat, goose fat, yorkies and the fact that I put cream and too much cheese in my veg! But if you’re gonna do it you gotta do it properly!

On track to lose 5lbs this week as I’ve been ill. Can’t afford to feck it up now!

Well done, that's a great weight lose!

But I prefer the roast with all the naughty bits added, so will have that later

Practice makes perfect first meal I ever cooked for hubby was a beef roast with all the trimmings. Can't remember if it was any good, because it was 13 years ago!

But mum's do make the best roast. Can you ask her if there's room for a few more? Saves me doing mine later, thanks

A spot roast followed by a Sunday roast would be my ideal Sunday.

I'm not having the British traditional Sunday dinner, I'm cultured (lol) and in accordance with my heritage I tend to mix it up and will be having 'rice and peas' with Jamaican curry as I occasionally do.

Sussex countryside

Today we are having chicken, with roasties, yorkshire puds and some roasted carrots and courgettes. My favourite is a slow roasted leg of lamb though
