Can it be fixed or is it too late? Hull winning tonight hasn't helped matters

Newcastle and Gateshead

"Can it be fixed or is it too late? Hull winning tonight hasn't helped matters"

the club is rotten to the core and it basically needs to completely blown up before it can be fixed........

i can absolutely see sunderland being a bigger brighton or bournemouth for example if the right people were running it...

if it were me and they went down into league one... if i won the lottery tomorrow i would buy it and turn it into a community club!

if you took a sunderland and basically applied the "dortmund" model to it....... it could be spectacular!

Think there done personally..unless they can win 90% of remaining games but then it would take results around them to help them.

I heard Ellis Short would sell for £50 million, it would take a lot more to get them back in the premier league though, is £50 million a good buy or is it a case of don't buy broken goods?

I wouldn't buy it at 50 mil.... i would at lets say 20 million tops....

basically he will bleed it for the last couple of seasons of tv money they get then bail....

I think he's prepared to forgo his equity as long as a new owner takes on the debt isn't he, given the stadium and season ticket sales that's pretty cheap.

Around £140m I think? For what will be a league one club?

Deserve to go down.

Got their just desserts when they exited the Premier League. Another tumble would be very fitting too.

Reminds me of Leeds. Once a force, the in a couple of seasons? Nothing.

Although, if they do go down to league one, at least they with have a local

Derby with Hartlepool!

Sunderland are 4 points from safety with 13 games to go as I see it they have enough games to get to safety. If they go down it would not be a disaster in a footballing term as me personally I would promote some of the 18 - 22 year old local lads to the first team as they would show more heart and passion than some of the more established championship players that are just there for a pay day.

A club that lifted a suspension on a player charged with sexual offences against a minor in order to help save them from relegation.

Regardless of the fact said player hadn't been tried at that point, it was still a despicable act by the club against their fans, community and history. The only winners there were the owner and shareholders.

May the trapdoor of relegation and financial ruin devour them.

I agree it's difficult to feel any sympathy for the club after the way they handled this. I do feel for the fans though, they deserve better than they are getting.

And it did provide one of the most passionately sung chants I've ever experienced when they came down to the KP a couple of years ago and Adam Johnson was playing.

If you follow footbàll, you'll know the one......
