What's the most extravagant item you've bought recently.

Today I bought a belt for work that cost me FITY QUID. I'm not a man of means but it's a beautiful belt.

I haven't been decadent but I have been extravagant recently.

I have a new Fiat 500 to pick up next month, I'm sitting in a new chair and I a new rug on the floor.

The most expensive thing I have bought is two tickets for Hamilton in April. I have never spent so much money to sit that far away from the stage, when it's still daylight.

I buy little (necessary) things that are a little pricey every now and then.

I got a £100 fitbit a couple of weeks ago and a £150 pair of trainers ... I just need to start exercising now

Apart from lots of new clothes and footwear - a ‘cheer the fuck up’ splurge - I’m currently looking for a new bed. I don’t care how much it costs. I want a massive bed with a firm but comfortable mattress and the most beautiful bedding. The best bit it will be all to myself

Decadent indeed.

I’ve been tightening my belt so to speak, nothing I’d consider to be decadent but I have spent money on “experiences” as in a couple of weekends away, Theatre tickets rather than material items.

Either my van or the holiday I just got back from. Because I wanted to go away with extended family, the latter had to be taken in school holidays... Feck me that was expensive!!!

My eyes have been opened to what families have to fork out for the privilege of taking their little folk away with them.

Ooh! I forgot, the other night I d*unkenly bought flights to NY over Christmas.

Flying out on the 23rd coming back the 2nd.

I haven't booked a hotel yet. I'm looking forward to the cost of that.

But genuinely I have always wanted to spend Christmas and New Year's alone. What better place to do it than New York!

I didn't think I'd been decadent recently but then remembered I spent £18 on chocolate this weekend - which has already gone. And £24 in Lush for my daughter, which will very shortly be going down the plughole! £38 on *nothing* really, except a very fleeting feeling of indulgence. Eeek.

Really, really good quality footwear. Nothing to beat putting on shoes and boots that are made to last and have my foot shape cuddled after years of wearing.

I bought something last night for my geeky hobby. It's by far not the most expensive thing but it is for what it's is and I don't need it. But I absolutely feel in love with it and I had to have one. It's got a little motor and moves up and down. If you want to see said item google:

viessmann 1504

There is also a video of it in action on youtube.

Try looking at AIRBNB rather than hotel . people go away from the city at Xmas.
