A world of my own

Sorry for the blatant poor me post.

On Saturday I went to light the Rayburn. It failed. Attempt two was too soon and it went "kaboom" thankfully I saved my eyebrows but have 2nd degree burns on 3 fingers.

These things bloody hurt. Hours of steeping in cool water on Saturday to cool them and now stinging pain. They look horrific too.

I'm miserable and need sympathy.

Oh my god I hope you’re alright

You need some aloe Vera and plenty of fluids

Ouch! I've got a Rayburn but never had that happen?

Could you wear a latex glove or wrap the fingers in cling film? Not very practical but preventing air getting to it takes the pain away. Or get some burn eze spray. That's all I got sorry.

Hope the pain goes soon. Hugs. X

Ohhhh ouchy ouch.. You have my full sympathy.. It's horrid. I have had more burns once and I'm a chef I'm used to burns. I can recommend germoline, it's got local anaesthetic in it too... Just try and keep it clean and if in doubt and it's still really bad, go to docs or out patients. X

Ouch!! Hope you have them bandaged up. You need 24/7 care by a team of hot semi naked men feeding you chocolate.

Oh goodness. Hope it all heals really soon. To echo posts... if you haven’t yet - please go get your burns looked at and treated.

I didn't think they warranted a trip to A&E. I googled and sent my paramedic friend photos

I'm also terrified of hospitals

Thanks. It's old and temperamental. My own fault really.

Burns can get infected or, if you treat them incorrectly, scar the nerves as well as the skin.

How about your local doctors? They could dress it for you.
