Strawberry jam first and a small amount of clotted cream

Now Swing has made an observation regarding the serving of scones up north. We seem to serve them as part of afternoon tea with jam and cream already on them. That isn’t something that happens EVERYWHERE because I’ve sampled a few afternoon teas. Does it only occur up north?

Interesting question...

Over here they're served whole, warm, with butter, cream and jam on the side... You cut and build your own how you like it

Looking forward to seeing how its done elsewhere..

Bit of advice to those who do squirt, give the tip a thorough rinse before you pop it away. That way when you whip it out again to have another squirt later on, nobody will be all like ‘Urghh, it’s got mould on it’.
