I love a good horror. The autopsy of Jane Doe was good. It’s been years since a film has really scared me.

I second 'The Thing'.

The 2011 prequel wasn't a bad film, either.

I've just got my hands on a limited edition of 'The Thing: Infection at Outpost 13' board game; any board game players in Bristol?

Has anyone seen 'The Void'?

York

I never found any of the Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday 13th, Chainsaw Massacre, Candyman etc films scary, they were massively hyped up when I was a kid in hushed groups in the playground of people that had seen them, but when I finally watched them I was disappointed. Same with Insidious, Paranormal activity and other more recent ones.

Some I do enjoy though are;

The Thing

IT

30 Days of Night

American Werewolf in London

It Follows

Romeros Living Dead trilogy

Don't be afraid of the dark

Wolf Creek

The Descent

Blair Witch Project

The Woman in Black

Rec.

Nosferatu (nearly 100 years old!!)

Salems Lot (still won't leave the curtains open at night)

We watched a few things we shouldn't have (bad mother) but the only film that I ever had nightmares about was Jaws lol

That shit scarred me for life lol

Prefer psychological horror films.

El Orfanato (The Orphanage) is pretty darn good.

The original Friday 13th the odeon cinema

Just when the titles are rolling at the end, sat waiting for the crowd to disperse.

Jason comes from under the water, no one expected it, especially the young lady who screamed whilst walking out and landed plumb in my lap.... lol

I'm a big wuss when it comes to horror, I do enjoy it but i can't watch any kind of supernatural/ghost/poletgeist/possession/demons/haunted horror films on my own.

I really enjoyed Cabin In The Woods. Train to Busan is amazing. Recent ones I've enjoyed are Get Out and The Belko Experiment (on Netflix now)

Not really a big fan of horror films but growing up i watched Hammer films with Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing as the good guy , Salems Lot and the most scariest scene for me was the opening secne from a film called Zoltan hound of Dracula. Also the first 3 Omen films.I know they may be a bit tame by today's standards but they made me jump.

Prevenge, Raw and the void are decent. Quite liked the descent as well.

A few worth a mention that aren't very mainstream.

It follows

The Gallows

Let Me In

Let The Right One in

My favourite ever is probably silence of the lambs..
