ancient mysteries

Iv been doing a lot of research lately about archeology, pyramids, ancient cultures, biblical stories, advanced technologys, the mayans...etc and have been blown away by how much we know but also how little we know and that we are constantly having to rewrite everything we once thought we knew due to new findings. Archeologists are finding human footprints dating back thousands of years before the dinosaurs, finding modern tools fossilised for thousands of years.

The pyramid of giza is slap bang in the centre of the map, combine with stone henge, easter island, mayan pyramids...etc and you can literally connect them all with two straight lines on the map using a ruler and where the two lines meet is at the pyramid of giza. How could ancient cultures separated by thousands of years and thousands of miles do all this? And isnt it weird that the oldest pyramid in egypt the pyramid of giza is the most structualy perfect one? surely they should have improved in time. They say these sites are directly linked to the stars and act as a calendar, but how can they study the galaxy when the technology wasnt available for thousands of years? Ancient carvings and tablets from all over the world depict important information about their civilisation and there are many depicting accurate carvings of the planets orbiting the sun complete with size and distances, they even show pictures of people coming down from stars and describe that all their knowledge was given to them by the visitors from the stars and even mating with their women, again these people were seperated by years and by miles.

Even the storys told in the bible can now be shown as being accurate due to archaeological finds... they can prove that mass floods happened which is mentioned in every religeon, they have found a site where a man has been given the honour of being buried amongst the kings and his statue at his grave is of a man wearing a bright multicoloured coat, it dates back to the same time and location of the biblical story of joseph and his technicoloured dream coat.

What does everybody think about these ancient civilisations, were they super smart and figured it all out and was way more advanced than us, did they get wiped out and we had to start all over again, or did they actually get there knowledge from a third party? Did aliens mate with humans which would possibly fill in the missing link between ancient and modern man?

Let the debate begin.

Interesting stuff.. but this was a thread about two weeks ago, so don't get disheartened if you don't get many takers.

I'm a sceptic myself. I think human beings are very good at finding patterns that don't really mean anything.

Though the feats of engineering were incredible for the time. Just because we don't know the answers, we shouldn't jump to outlandish conclusions.

Defo no pre-Dinosaur human footprints. There is a lot of tosh written around ancient archaeology/history so general readers have to be very careful what they read.

Completely tangentially, I remember sitting in a waiting room years ago and leafing through a Nat Geo, whose cover story was on the ‘find’ of the Gospel of Judas. It was promptly nabbed by the Vatican and whisked off to the vaults. Now, I know that none of the ‘Gospels’ we have were actually written by those people but rather by others hundreds of years later...but I’d love to read it nonetheless. As a counter story to the one we have now...it should be a good read!

All goof scientific research will be based on evidence that is constantly evolving, as we find more or make technological leapd, to re-examine older materials etc.

I think each item found needs to be understood in context. Certainly we have had many parallel developments at different speeds in history, some of them similar - but this alone doesn't mean there's a connection other than less sophisticated cultures moving in the direction of more sophistication, stone age, bronze age and other periodic moves is a simple example of this.

I think that many of the assertions you are making op are likely wild leaps of misdirection from authors etc with vested interests.

Whilst humans evolved, with many species co-existing and breeding, traveling and populating the world - some evolving to dead ends, it's probably very unlikely that cultures over the last 10,000 years or so were communicating or connected in the manner suggested.

And i think there is no likely evidence of alien beings connecting them.

To many people believing the recent influx of documentaries on subjects like this. The internet although a good tool, misdirects, and there are plenty of people posting too much crap, that see the truth gets more complex

Op - how long ago do you think thr dinosaurs became extinct? What's your understanding of human evolutionary timescales? And the genetic evidence that pinpoints when homo sapiens split from the last common ancestor that we shared with chimpanzees, apes etc? How does that fit with when the last dinosaurs were around? Off the top of my head, we're looking just a relatively small number of years since our shared ancestor, in comparison.

Humans mated with Neanderthals at a couple of points, it seems likely, such that those people of European descent share up to about 5%or 6% of Neanderthals genes. Those coming from Africa, in the same period, don't have that genetic material. That interbreeding with just that one other species and bringing us to today with all their billions of ancestors was only within about the last one hundred thousand years. That's very recent in evolutionary terms. Populations in Asia and Australia interbred differently too - but again recently.

Credible sources of material to study are really just the recognised literature sources, which are only reputable and credible journals.

If you want to make extraordinary claims, your evidence needs to be incredibly strong.

I rember reading a book many years ago that mention some ancient Chinese art that depicted a war with flying craft and a mushroom cloud.

The author went on to say that there is melted rock that is only found at the site of nuclear explosions found before any nuclear bombs had been made.

He surmised that the human race had destroyed itself back to caveman levels and had slowly regained technology....

An interesting read but a little far fetched...

Some of the last Dinosaurs were the (Terror Lizards) Tyrannosaurus Rex ... 750 Million years ago..
