I just saw a status update from a single fem, who was saying can guys stop messaging her on facebook, and keep messages here.

I saw a similar status update a few days ago also from a single girl (she subsequently left fab).

Do guys really thing that will go down well or its acceptable ?

Sometimes I have to shake my head at what my fellow man-types do :/

I think the only connection would be they have her phone number or her face is on show. If she has done neither I don't know how they would make a connection x

She has face pics and city name (least I think its a City), but no name or phone number.

If I post my phone number, I've set facebook not to show my profile for people searching for my phone number.

Probably a good time for everyone to review their settings :/

When did facebook remove the inbox filter options ?

Yeah see they probably have one other person from facebook on here, someone who introduced them or what not.

The guys on here go looking through the "people you may know" and find them and message them.

I looked through the people you may know and there face pics I have seen on here in it, no mutual friends, and I dunno how facebook got the idea I would know them.

When I first started on my fab journey I was talking to a much younger guy and started chatting on WhatsApp. He found me on Facebook and stupidly I thought ‘what was the harm’ he was fine for a few weeks then he turned weird and I was on my way to a meet and he kept ringing me, everyday he possibly could, I didn’t answer him but needed my phone for directions, when I didn’t answer he then decided to message one my sons friends who I was friends with and started asking him ‘would you fuck his mum’ that kind of thing (he was older than my son, about 17 I think at the time), by the time I reached the meet I had a message from sons friend that were very inappropriate, I subsequently blocked the guy on every level possible and I had to gently let down my sons friend as he got a bit infatuated with me. Never again!

There is a lot to be said for not making face pics public and not giving your phone number out x
