"From mr Platoon, full metal jacket, Blackhawk down, apocalypse now yes all army films but all epic Agreed Full Metal Jacket was filmed in the barracks I did basic training. It was cheaper for them to fly everyone to the UK to film it. If you look at the first few scenes you can see the road signs are British (on the left ). It's not all that realistic, very hyped up, but I love Black Hawk Down, probably my favourite war film of the lot. Though Band of Brothers trumps the lot.. imho" If you get a chance, read the book Black Hawk Down. I love the film but the book is 10 times better. It paint the US military hierarchy in a very poor light. | |||
