Not sure I'd call any of them pop groups. Agree with many of those particularly Levellers and Carter, I've seen them dozens of times over the last 30 years. Poppies were great at their reunion tour 10 or so years ago but never rated them back in the day.

Is also say The Wonder Stuff, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Jane's Addiction amd The Pixies

Not sure any of them are pop groups!

Penrith

Sleeper played at Lancaster, with Longpigs as support, and that was an awesome night, probably my No.1 all-time

Pulp headlined the V Festival in Warrington, which was an amazing weekend (the special chocolate brownies helped)

The Manics I saw on the ‘Australia’ tour in Carlisle, they were pretty good too

Pixies supporting Throwing Muses at I think Manc Int1. Like being beautifully assaulted at warp speed.

and

NME Rollercoaster Tour -Blur (shite) Dinosaur Jr (usual good) Mary Chain (good) My Bloody Valentine (off the planet) all for 30 dabs I think.

Technically 90's but I saw oasis in 2001 and Paul weller a few times in the late 90's also.

I was busy gigging myself locally from 98 anyway so saw few bands, played more gigs than I saw.
